Experience
(MATH) I was originally a math major in college until I realized my passion for the sciences. In addition to my math background, I worked in accounting for 6 years, where my basic math skills were fine tuned and sped up. Most of my life physical and life science classes, calculus based math (e.g. to discover rates of reactions and percentage increases in biological systems) would be required. I have tutored a wide age range of students from basic math, to college algebra, to pre calculus. (SCIENCE) My passion in my university was learning about all aspects of biology (i.e. biochemistry, botany, entomology, neuroscience, and AP biology) and chemistry (i.e. general chemistry, AP chemistry, and organic chemistry). My enthusiasm for the field allowed me to excel and acquire knowledge faster than other subjects. I applied my science knowledge to my own health and lost 100 lbs in a healthy way (over the course of 1.5 years). (ENGLISH) I would edit papers for University students from USC, UCLA, UCR, UCI, CSULA, CSUF, and various community colleges. In addition to this, I would also review and critique personal statements that helped students gain admittance into college or graduate schools.

I have a passion for teaching students since I accredit my academic success to instructors that were able to teach on a level of my understanding, rather than just reading from a book. I have been tutoring for 10+ years now in a wide range of subjects. My adaptability and ability to acquire knowledge fast allowed me to be very versatile in the subjects that I tutored. Working as a managing director in the aviation sales/repair industry (I was in collaboration with United Airlines, Air Canada, and Lufthansa) for 3+ years, I have encountered many different personalities. Since I was a pioneer in the development of my family's aviation company, I acquired many skills to emphasize efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work. In this field, I learned effective communication and the ability to find a middle ground of connection with people. In addition to aviation, My accounting and healthcare background (over 480+ hours) helped me to be very well-rounded in many other fields sw2that I tutor in. I lost 100lbs just by applying my science knowledge to my lifestyle. I learned proper weight training, diet/nutrition, and many technical science knowledge through my college education. When I tutor my students, I try to relate the subject I am teaching to a passion that they have. If there is no correlation between the subject and their passion, and the subject is extremely difficult for the student to pick up, I explain things under the pretense that the student knows absolutely nothing about the subject and work up from there.
